Hi there! I’m Marleine, the creative mind behind this brand. My work is deeply inspired by my roots and personal journey. I grew up in an Afrikaans community on a farm near Malmesbury, and those experiences have shaped not only who I am but also how I see the world. My creativity thrives on the quirky, colorful mix of my hybrid Afrikaner heritage and the rich storytelling traditions I’ve grown up with.

I have a BA in Visual Communications, where I majored in Graphic Design, and I’ve recently completed my Honours degree. Through my studies, I’ve discovered how much our lived experiences and cultural backgrounds can shape authentic visual stories. Whether it’s a touch of parody, a nod to nostalgia, or a playful mix of influences, I love weaving together elements that feel personal and true to me.

In today’s digital whirlwind of AI and endless scrolling, staying “authentic” can feel like a challenge. But for me, it’s about embracing where I come from, taking inspiration from everyday life, and crafting something that feels uniquely mine.
